Charlie Kirk's heartbroken wife has shared a deeper insight into her emotions and grief a week on from his tragic death.
The political activist and supporter of Trump was tragically shot dead last Wednesday whilst addressing students at a public event at Utah Valley University. He was struck by a single to the neck as he sat under a small gazebo errected to protect him from the sun.
Fast forward seven days and the man charged with the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk has made his initial court appearance. Tyler Robinson, 22, attended the virtual hearing on Tuesday, shortly after being formally accused of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm and obstructing justice.
During the proceedings, Robinson remained silent, donning what seemed to be a suicide prevention vest as the judge listed the charges against him. He is currently being held without bail.

But while the world may be fixated on who Robinson is and his movements on the day Charlie's family continue to gieve the loss of their dad, brother, partner and son and process how they will navigate life without him.
Erika broke her silence last week with an emotional statement from her late husband's streaming room, but she has shared more personal thoughts and images on her social media since.
Taking to Instagram yesterday Erika shared an image of Charlie at his last event and wrote: "You loved witnessing excellence. It’s why you loved sports so much. You loved watching the best of the best perform at the level of greatness God intended for them.

"When we first started dating, we went to the basketball court to shoot around. I loved seeing you in that element because time was irrelevant. It was just us, the sound of sneakers squeaking and jump shots. We bonded over how Jordan was the GOAT and you told me about your basketball days in high school and I told you about my basketball days in college. Just two athletes escaping the demands of the world for a minute.
"I remember seeing on your wrist a red bracelet. You never took it off, it said “work harder, be better.” And everyday you did just that. Years later, one day after an event on campus a student asked you about your bracelet, and you gave it to them. I have no idea who that student was or where they are today, but I have no doubt they’re working harder and being better, because you set the tone.
"This is one of the last photos taken of you before you were murdered. I look at it and can’t help but see excellence. You’re in your element. You’re in athlete mode. Training for this exact moment, mind, body, and soul. To me, this is your “Jordan” photo. Permanently etched in time, held in my heart, as I admire your greatness. Forever.
"I pray you’ve had the most amazing week in Heaven @charliekirk1776 I love you."
The post has had over 1 million likes and her followers took to the comment section to share their love. One wrote: "I can’t believe it’s been a week," another wrote: "The last sentence absolutely took my breath away. Erica, you’re an amazing soul."
Another wrote: "So many love him… not like you of course .. but we do love him.. broken hearted for you .. even though we know where Charlie is .. still broken hearted for his absence here.. what a life.. what a legacy .. only one Charlie Kirk."
The funeral service for Charlie Kirk will take place Sunday, September 21, 2025, at State Farm Stadium in Phoenix.
