Meghan Markle's former best friend has reportedly refused to spill the beans on their fallout despite being offered more than $1million (£740,000) in a memoir deal.
Jessica Mulroney, 45, was particularly close with the Duchess of Sussex, 44, until she gave views on Black Lives Matter, which soured their friendship in 2020 and contact has slowly ceased since then. Jessica's opinion on the movement led to criticism from some quarters and even the cancellation of her TV show "I do, Redo".
But it is believed the stylist and blogger now has the chance to stress her side of the story in the row with the opportunity to publish her memoirs. Yet, she told reporters she would "never" spill the beans on what happened her and Meghan, for whom she was a bridesmaid in May 2018.
Mother-of-three Jessica, who has had guest roles as fashion expert on television shows such as Good Morning America, is wary of behaviour which could be seen as "petty and bitter" amid the ongoing feud, souces say.

One insider said: "I suspect Jessica is not sure what to do [with what she knows]. Meghan is still pretty powerful and they have a lot of people in common. She is probably biding her time. She lost her career but to come after Meghan could be perceived as being petty and bitter and could potentially alienate her even more."
Jessica and Meghan met in Toronto, Canada, when the now-duchess was filming Suits. They became best friends and, according to the Daily Mail, Jessica helped guard the secret Meghan was secretly dating a prince.

But the Black Lives Matter bust-up saw the pair become estranged, even after Jessica was a bridesmaid at the wedding, and the row has impacted Jessica's career in recent years. The source continued: "She was upset their friendship ended. Jessica knows where the bodies are buried. Meghan will be worried."
Yet, Jessica is set to avoid any reference to scandal if she goes ahead with the book deal. There was, likewise, made no mention of Jessica in Harry's book Spare, released in January 2023. Interest in Jessica's views, though, is said to be great in the publishing world.
"Jessica's explosive story is the one publishers want to get their hands on. She could command up to a seven-figure dollar sum depending on what she is prepared to say," a source told the Mirror recently.
Jessica, who grew up in Westmount, Canada, was also not invited to take part in the Duchess's most recent project - With Love, Meghan, when others in her social circle were. They do not follow each other on social media either.
