Sinitta is said to have signed up for the All Stars version of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! 14 years after first entering the jungle.

The 61-year-old British-American singer, who initially found commercial success in the mid-80s, took part in the eleventh season of I'm a Celeb UK back in 2011, arriving in the Australian jungle as a late entrant. But she was the second celebrity to be voted off the show over actress Crissy Rock.

While hugging her co-stars as she left the jungle, Sinitta said: "I love you guys." She then told hosts Ant and Dec that she "knew" she would be voted out but was glad to have had a chance to face her fears.

She said: "I wanted to... Face my fears and not be afraid of everything. I was starting to really love it. Every day [I was] waking up feeling better and better, sleeping better and better."

Now, The Sun has reported that the singer, who was a fan favourite while on I'm a Celeb, is set to join the ITV spin-off series in South Africa this autumn. A source told the publication: "Sinitta was a real scaredy cat when she took part 14 years ago, screaming her way through the bushtucker trials.

"So producers are keen to see if she has got any braver since. She is always hugely entertaining to watch, so viewers are in for a treat." Other celebrities rumoured to be joining the cast include Sir Mo Farah, David Haye, Gemma Collins and Harry Redknapp.

The All Stars version will be filmed in Kruger National Park, one of Africa's largest game reserves with a huge density of wild animals including lions, leopards, rhinos, elephants and buffalos. The series features celebrities who have already been on the main show and want to come back for a second chance at their jungle experience.

The spin-off series started two years ago and attracted an audience of more than five million viewers across its run. Last year, the original series averaged at seven million viewers.

Sinitta shot to fame as part of Stock Aitken Waterman's hit factory in the 80s. Becoming a household name with hits like So Macho, Toy Boy and GTO, she was Simon Cowell's first recording star. In 2002, she married Andy Willner and after four months suffered multiple miscarriages followed by three failed attempts of IVF.

In 2007, sheadopted her two children, Zac and Magdalena, now 18. In an interview withOK! in May, she opened about how the love of her children helped her through dark days, comforting Simon the day they heard the devastating news of the death of Liam Payne, and her new mystery man.

The Mirror has contacted Sinitta's representatives for comment.
