Western enthusiasts are set for a real treat as a beloved Western drama welcomes a Golden Globe and Emmy-winning performer to its ranks for the new series.
Patricia Clarkson, celebrated for her performances in House of Cards and Six Feet Under, is joining Minka Kelly and Josh Duhamel as a guest star in the production.
The programme, Ransom Canyon, chronicles feuding ranching dynasties battling for supremacy in the titular small Texas settlement.
Patricia is set to portray Claire O'Grady, the mother of Quinn (Minka Kelly), a character depicted as "drop-dead gorgeous" whilst being simultaneously "maternal and self-involved".
Additionally, Ben Robson and Heidi Engerman have been recruited for the second series, which is presently being filmed in New Mexico.

Viewers can anticipate witnessing Ransom Canyon's destiny teetering on a knife-edge as "new faces threaten the lives and loves of the rugged Hill Country town".
Series two will see the return of Lizzy Greene, Garrett Wareing, Jack Schumacher, Marianly Tejada, Casey W. Johnson, Tatanka Means, Justin Johnson Cortez, Philip Winchester, Jennifer Ens, Brett Cullen, Kenny Miller, and Niko Guardado.
The debut series dominated Netflix's Global Top 10 TV rankings for four weeks, with viewers dubbing it "Yellowstone meets Virgin River".
After the trailer dropped, fans declared it appeared "way better than Yellowstone" and possessed "cowboy Virgin River" vibes.

Fans have been sharing their rave reviews on IMDb, with devadrianb rating it a perfect 10/10 and stating: "If you're a fan of emotionally rich dramas like Yellowstone and Virgin River, this show is about to become your next obsession."
They continued: "While it begins with a slow burn, give it an episode or two and you'll be completely hooked. The storytelling draws you in gradually, but once it hits its stride, it doesn't let go."
Another viewer, Yourwebchick, commented: "We watched this show in a few evenings as it was very addictive. A LOT happens in a short amount of time but that's probably what Netflix needed to get that second season going. The actors had some great chemistry!".
MelissaR-77 also shared her thoughts: "Everyone's different but to me I thought the show was absolutely amazing, it blew me away, I watched it all in one day."
