Meghan Markle has sparked a furious debate online after posting a video showing a notepad emblazoned with her royal monogram as she advertised her lifestyle brand's Christmas range. The Duchess of Sussex shared footage on her Instagram platform, which showed her at work with a fancy blue notebook by her side.
On the cover of the gold-embossed tome, the royal cypher could clearly be seen visible as the pad was positioned next to a £48 candle from Meghan's new festive collection. The insignia, featuring the letter M topped with a crown, dates from her 2018 marriage to Prince Harry. Royal watchers have previously criticised the Duchess for appearing to continue to use her royal associations alongside her As Ever brand products.
The appearance of the royal notepad has sparked a diverse reaction online. "Another example of Meghan putting her royal cypher on pretty much anything, you can see it on her notebook in the latest Instagram story," one X user commented. However, many fans came to Meghan's defence, with one writing: "I am sorry this story ended this way because she is brilliant and smart and she could have been an important part for the senior royals."
